It's December. I can't believe it's December already. I feel like I got shot out of a gun in January and just landed here.

It's coming up on January 1st, and New Year's Resolutions. Quitting smoking wasn't a New Year's Resolution for me this year, but no matter--New Year's will be a kind of finish line. It was a couple of years ago, when I last quit for six months. Now I've been off cigarettes for going on 7 months...

How are you doing?

Hi Dieter,

Thanks so much for your comment. How long ago did you quit smoking?

Yes, I think the worst is over. Now it seems to be a matter of reminding myself how much I don't want to smoke any more, for when the occasional craving shows up. I welcome any advice or stories you can share with me.

I will have to try some of the recipes on your blog. I'm a big fan of the non-store-bought pasta sauce myself.

Merry belated Christmas to you, too, and Happy New Year!
