It's mildly cold out tonight, in this fine city of Austin, Texas. This week we had at least three 75-degree days, and one 80-degree day, bookended by 40- and 50- degree days. That's okay with me; I love mild Austin winters. It gets cold long enough to give people that cozy Christmas-y feeling, and then warms up to t-shirt weather for a few days.

I seriously doubt anyone's really reading this blog, but in case anybody is, you will notice that I've found it more and more of a stretch to tie my conversation back to smoking. I mean, I could say that I'm glad I don't have to go outside on the cold, wet, windy or otherwise nasty days, but honestly, I just don't think about it as much as I used to.

When I used to smoke, I couldn't imagine how people at work didn't smoke, because the job is so stressful. Now that I've been away from it from several months, I don't know how I ever found the time, at least, while I was at work.

In completely different news, my boyfriend surprised me with the early Christmas present of a laptop, so here I am, pecking away on a Friday night, while my boyfriend is out being social with some work buddies. Sad? Maybe, but I just didn't feel like going out tonight, and at least I'm not spending any money.

Oh, by the way, if you like old video games from the 80s and 90s, you must check out www.goriya.com. My favorites so far are the classics Tetris and Pacman, but there are hundreds of emulated games you can play for free.

I'm just so thrilled at having home internet access again, after so long without it ( a year and a half, roughly.)

Peace out.
