Big news!
In the short span of 2006, Rob and I have bought a house and gotten engaged! I can't believe it. I mean, I can stop and realize that both of these events have been a long time coming, but I didn't anticipate it happening all at once.
Suffice it to say I am ecstatic.
And still not smokin'.

Congratulations on staying off the smokes! You've been off for almost five months now, is that right? That means you're beating your previous record. Awesome feeling, isn't it?
Oh jeez, weight gain? I haven't gotten on top of that one yet. Okay, I've made minimal progress--I've stopped gaining weight, and I'm down about five pounds from my recent all time worst weight.
Since last weekend, I've cut way down on the booze. Maybe that will help, at least to keep me from gaining more weight.
I'm telling you this as I'm sitting next to a box of Triscuits. They're not the low-fat variety, either. So much for perfection.
