Check this out -- reason #43 that quitting smoking is a good idea; your hair will be healthier and lovelier:

#1 Avoid overconsumption of salt (most vegetables have their own natural sodium) and sugar; skip them entirely, if possible.
#2 Same with alcohol and tobacco, also contributing causes of hair loss and dandruff.

Tanto tiempo!

I just realized that my 18-month mark was this past Thursday, November 16, 2006.

My brothers are still quit, it's been about 8 months for them. My husband is now close to 6 months into his quit (since July 4th).

Only one of my immediate family members smokes now. He keeps threatening to quit.

I think of the bumper sticker, "Let's make smoking history!"
